The Club Atlético Tigre was founded on August 3rd 1902, in the actual town of Tigre, surrounded by the colour of the Delta, its rivers with huge trees, and its particular people.
Since 1936 the Club moves its sport life a few miles to the actual Stadium of Victoria, in San Fernando´s town, 30 km. north from the Capital city of Buenos Aires.
With more than 100 years, it is a permanent entertainer of the Argentinean Foot-Ball Leagues, winning many times different Minor League championships. Tigre has the honour of being one of the founders of the National Professional League and to achieve the best team performance in the whole history of Argentinean football with an efficacy of the 87.5% points won.
Placed in a privileged location, its mythical stadium gives an unique identity, and together with its history and tradition, inspire popular root and a great amount of fans that transforms Tigre in the reference club to the North zone of the Great Buenos Aires suburbs.
The determination of its founders, leaded by don José Dellagiovanna, under the motto "the union makes the force", made a group of youngers that met to play street foot-ball in a land edging río Reconquista, grows with sacrifice, courage and constancy, becoming one of the sport and cultural most important Institution, bringing permanent entertainment and leisure, building strong links and benefits with all the neighboring.
From Victoria with the strength and force of a real Tiger, their fans follows each weekend the First Team, either local or visitors, giving the sport records and achievements a plus that only a few can hold: massive support in any stadium of the country.
Tigre, the Killers, combines like no other the blue and red colours, having dressed very important names that made the great Argentinean Foot-Ball, like Bernabé Ferreyra, Juan Andrés Marvezy, Miguel Armando Rugilo or Ernesto Cucchiaroni, is actually an important, ambicious and in constant growth Club: For its Members, for its Fans, and for all the community of the North Zone.
